CNU Expands Global Impact with New Partnerships in Public Health and Human Rights
New Partners to Strengthen Public Health and Human Rights

One million volunteers registered as “Human Rights Defenders.”

On August 31, 2023, during a designated delegation, the cooperation agreement between the Global Intergovernmental Organization (CNU) and two new international organizations, SafeBlood Donation and the World Health Board, will be officially ratified. These new agreements mark a significant expansion of CNU’s partnerships, as it continues to strengthen its global presence in the fields of public health and human rights.

A Strategic Expansion

The inclusion of SafeBlood Donation and the World Health Board in CNU’s network represents an important step in the organization’s strategy to broaden its influence and operational capacity on an international level. These collaborations add to previous agreements, such as those ratified last year with VAB (Environmental and Forestry Surveillance) of the Italian Civil Protection and the international humanitarian organization CIDHU of Ecuador. Through these synergies, CNU will reach the significant milestone of one million volunteers registered as “Human Rights Defenders.”

Recognition and Future Prospects

On August 31, during the ratification ceremony, the board members and international coordinators of SafeBlood Donation and the World Health Board will be honored with the title of “CNU Human Rights Defender Knights,” in accordance with UN Resolution 53/144 of 1999. This recognition underscores the shared commitment to defending human rights and improving healthcare practices globally.

A Future of Cooperation and Growth

Commenting on these new developments, CNU Secretary-General Harry Tallarita stated: “We are honored that CNU is gaining recognition and finding strong allies in other distinguished organizations to support the protection of populations and the safeguarding of fundamental rights. CNU is primarily composed of entities with humanitarian aims, engaged in various support projects across different territories. Additionally, in recent years, we have strengthened our relationships with governments that view the Universal Declaration of Human Rights not merely as a formal document but as a concrete commitment to protecting their citizens. Unfortunately, in many countries, the respect for these rights is not guaranteed, and this is where CNU, together with its friends and partners, is committed to giving a voice to those whose fundamental rights, including the freedom of therapeutic choice, are violated daily.”

With the addition of SafeBlood Donation and the World Health Board, CNU further strengthens its global network of partners, now with 53 observers across as many nations, aiming to develop new awareness initiatives and informative campaigns, as well as a series of online legal assistance services.

This alliance promises to expand the impact of CNU’s activities, promoting international cooperation based on shared values and common goals.
